Southwest Institute of Applied Magnetic of China (SIAM) , was set up in Mianyang , now becomes the most comprehensive institute of applied magnetic in China. SIAM has 108 senior engineers and 362 engineers. SIAM owns 11 research departments. SIAM now is accredited to the internationally recognized ISO9001 quality standard in 1999.

SIAM now plays a leading role in the field of the magnetics in China.
